A new vinyl only re-issue label, Primal Vinyl Records (PVR), launched on 28th Jan 2008. It’s aim is to bring vinyl collectors classic and progressive rock albums previously unavailable in vinyl format.

As their first release, Primal Vinyl Records have issued IQ’s 2004 Dark Matter album on vinyl for the very first time. The LP has been pressed on 180 gm virgin vinyl and comes in a gatefold sleeve specifically designed by Tony Lythgoe. This is a limited edition run of 1500 copies, and is the first in what they hope will be a series of IQ vinyl re-issues.
